This year we had two main problems. The first one was the cow problem which was that we were given 1 cow, 100ft rope, 10x10 barn and the question being, How much can the cow graze? The second problem was King Arthur's Table. When king Arthur of Camelot has something to bestow upon one of his knights of the round table, he plays a game in order to determine who would get it. Each chair had a number beginning with one then continuing around the table, all the knights had a chair. While Arthur stood behind chair number one he would proclaim that he was in, the the next chair would be out and on he went around the table withe the same pattern. When he came back around to chair number one.
The problem that I enjoyed was King Arthur's Table because it had to do with patterns. I think problems that are related to patterns challenge your thinking because there can pe an infinite amount of patterns in different problems and it gives you different possibilities and makes you think outside of the box.

Something that I struggled this year in math was graphs. I know the basic one which is y=mx+b which is a line. But the other ones for parabolas and others had a lot of steps to it that made me confused. A parabola is a symmetrical open plane curve formed by the intersection of a cone with a plane parallel to its side. The path of a projectile under the influence of gravity ideally follows a curve of this shape. I actually enjoy doing graphs but it was challenging for me to do it because it was hard to find the distance that they spread apart and how thin/wide to make it.
I feel like this year I have grown a lot as a student because I challenged myself more compared to previous years in hopes of growth and improvement in skills. I also hope to challenge myself in the years ahead for the same purpose and get to know who I am as a student. Next year I am hopefully taking calculus to prepare me for college level calculus. I am setting a goal to study as hard as I can. I catch on the subjects really quickly and I am able to understand the content but I don't keep it in my head so hopefully I am able to study as much as I can.
