The growth mindset project was a project where we can choose what we wanted to learn or improve in a span of two weeks. What I decided to do was sharpen up my skills with Sketchup, which was a 3D modeling program used mainly for making houses. As a model I decided to do my house. I didn't do everything by scale but I think I did a good job considering it is my second time using it. To add a challenge to it, I decided not to use the 3D warehouse which allows you to download furniture, windows, doors, practically anything you need and put it in the edit and to do the furniture myself. Since I was able to reconnect with my curiosity with Computer Aided Design, I decided that I want to work more with it so I took CAD for a sixth period in my second semester. I find it time consuming but fun. I definitely do plan on using it more whenever I get the chance or just whenever I am bored because I get to create things and use my imagination.
I like to challenge myself and see what is my limit. Although the small challenge that I set up in the Sketchup didn't push me to my limit, the challenges that I set up for math this year definitely made me think more of who I am as a student, pushed my thinking and challenged me more. I challenged myself by taking honors in hopes to help me improve my skills in time management, studying, procrastinate less and turn in things that I am satisfied with.
