What we did:
With the character hat we had the option to work in partners or by yourself. Instead of the teacher taking in charge and telling who is going to make a certain characters hat, two students took in charge and called out all the names of the characters to see who wanted to make a hat for that character. Once that was finished we had to fill out a brain storming paper of the characters hat. We had to describe what kind of character that person is and how the hat is going to connect with the character. Once we finish making the hat it goes up on the wall on either the Montagues or the Capulets.
Reflection:
I teamed up with Sabrina and we choose to make a hat for Peter, the Nurse's servant. Since he was like a side character we didn't know much detail about him. We knew that he was a loyal servant to the Nurse and she used him in sex jokes so we decided to do the pirate shaped hats that messengers use in the medieval times. We just used felt and feathers to make it. Reading Romeo and Juliet was fun because for every scene and act there is a role that anyone can be and that person that is going to read the role has to wear the hat that is made for the specific role. So when you come in humanities class when we are reading Romeo and Juliet you will see the people reading with hats.
