What we did:
Our process of this writing piece was to look over our Part I The House On Mango Street writing packet and choose five vignettes using what we know and the skills we developed from our first semester. Once we were finished with that we had to type it up and it was finished.
Reflection:
My first vignette was about my name, how I got it and how the meaning is different in Spanish and English. The second one is about my childhood and who I wanted to be. Slowly growing up to who I am now. My third vignette was about all the struggles mothers go through and my appreciation towards them. My fourth one is about one of my beautiful fears, the ocean. Writing about how beautiful the ocean can be yet dangerous. The last vignette was about my mom and what she does to take care of me and my siblings and fulfills her dreams. I like this writing piece because coming back to the packet and revising it and making it better makes me realize how much I have improved trough writing.
